Stein Zupancic's a big dude. Like HUGE But what makes him a unique subject is not actually his massive muscles, or crazy-ass cool tattoos (the MANY that he has). It's actually how diverse he appears on camera. In this image yes, he's flexing da DEMON GUNZ, yet his expression shows that he's relaxed, perhaps even in a fragile moment of thought. And I think that the Black and White look adds to that effect This session of him had so many great shots that I WISH I could upload them all, but I'm being VERY choosy with this session. Plus hanging out and doing a photoshoot of my best friend is always party time
I have to agree! Aside from the hot factor, he is an amazingly versatile model. His facial expressions are always very real, not posed. and, as always, I prefer the b&w image! This is a wonderful shot!!
Thankz!!! This could be my favorite portrait I've ever taken. There's a very cool factor that I like in here. The vulnerable expression mixed with a muscle-magazing pose created this very unique shot that ends up being WAY more than just a "beefcake" or "tattoo" shot
I agree! It's a wonderful portrait! But you know, most of your shots of him I don't think of as Beefcake! Yes he is undeniably hot, but something else always shows through. He is a fantastic model for photography and the two of you seem to bring out the best in each other, I guess. Just my opinion.
You caught a very vulnerable moment with his expression. Even big men can feel a weakness..not that is shows very often, but it is there. Well done with the capture, the lighting is superb and I do prefer the blk and wht. His hand, believe it or not, turned out just pure hot. All around a fantastic shot.
Glad you guys were partying as well..a guy has to get his fun somehow, I'm told...LOL
It is. Especially after as long as it appears you have been shooting him. It has been interesting to see the progression of time just by his tattoos. In one shot you catch his eye colour, and they take on almost a gold tone, but very sheer, if that makes sense. I have not been through the other galleries totally yet, but I really admire your ability to make for a comfortable subject. That is a talent all it's own. I do admire your work.
I am not comfortable shooting people, at least people other than me... I have 2 shots I added today with a person as the main subject, and they are the only two I have ever taken! LOL. Its a little boy, and kids are easy to shoot.
